5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Sheet Protectors
Mini-sheet protectors (or 5.5
x 8.5 sheet protectors, as they are also known to be
named), along with a variety of other names as
mentioned in this introduction, are great for a
bunch of small projects. They easily and
conveniently hold receipts, small notes,
scrapbooking projects, and recipes. Restaurants
often use them in the menus as an add-on, known as
the "Today's Special". But what's perhaps even more
surprising: they are used for charts and airport
maps by pilots in the cockpit for guides during taxi
for take off and landing.
Made in strong, durable, archival-safe and acid-free polypropylene, these small 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 sheet protectors will hold and protect documents and pictures without any damaging effect to its content for a long time. They are also strong enough to protect against everyday wear and tear of the surrounding environment. Should they get dirty, they can easily be cleaned with a dry cloth. It could also be cleaned with perhaps a little bit of window cleaner to wipe off excessive grease should it have been used in a kitchen as recipe book page protectors. However, do not use any strong chemicals that may interact with the polypropylene. The most common orientation for the junior page protectors is: Portrait Orientation, the page being 5-1/2 inch wide and open at the top with the 3 other sides sealed and pre-punched with 3 holes at the left side for use with small mini binders.
