What Sheet Protector Weight To Choose ??
There are a lot to take into consideration when choosing the weight or should we say the thickness of the the sheet protector, file jacket or plastic sleeve. However for a fast guide to the four main categories that are the most widely used within the industry we recommend as written in the table below.
| Type: | Recommendation: | | Super Heavy Weight | Sheet Protectors
Great
for fine presentations and where there a heavy demanding work load is
added to on the pages as frequent daily usage. Also perfect when pages
are to store several document in each protector. Then don't settle for
less than super heavy weight page protectors or sheet protectors. | | Heavy Weight | Sheet Protectors
An
everyday usage gauge, it is convenient to work with and are available
at a fair price compared to the quality. A durable and reliable
quality. | | Standard Weight | Sheet Protectors
For less frequent used documents. Priced well and provide basic protection but will not last as long when used daily. | Economy Weight
(Light weight) | Best
thing we can say about this gauge is that it provide the least
expensive way to file a document. Some manufacture provide these pages
with a very narrow opening that makes it hard to insert a document and
as it is thin and flimsy it can be hard to get them open.
Keepfiling do offer one item at this gauge but with a wider opening at
top. This should make it a little easier to insert a document. |
If you wish to know more about material thickness and holders take also a look at another very informative page we have about this issue at: Material Gauge for Sheet Protectors - and how NOT to get cheated.
