Sometimes a tough job just calls for a heavy duty sheet protector. It sounds almost like an advertisment for a new tool at the local hardware store but seriously, it is more than just talk.
    A lot of stress and wear and tear is placed on page protectors on a daily or just frequent basis. This comes from just turning the pages, which places a lot of stress, wear and tear on the pre-punched holes. It's also caused from the finger(nails) that actually turn the pages and the rubbing of the pages against each other when the binder is moved around. The stress of the material is sometimes shown as white scratchlines or in the surface of the product, and is often seen on light weight protectors.

    For the very same reason, there is a need for a heavy duty sheet protector. The thicker material is simply made to better withstand the above mentioned wear and tear and, depending upon a frequently used or less frequently used holder, there are two types:

• Super Heavy Duty Sheet Protectors
• Heavy Duty Sheet Protectors

    Again, the difference between the two is the thickness of the material. Heavy duty protectors are usually made in 80 - 90 micron (3.2 Mil to 3.54 Mil) and the Super Heavy duty protectors are 100 - 125 micron (3.94 to 4.92 Mil).
    It should also be pointed out that as any good child it got many names so does heavy duty sheet protectors. They are often called heavy weight or super heavy weight by different manufacturers but stick with the material thickness and you are sure not to be cheated.
